It is easy to lose sight of God's vision for our lives because we tend to see them as mundane and routine. We get lost in the daily challenges and forget to stop and see His greater purposes. I can say that now because our children have grown up and the daily challenges are fewer. Now we get to sit back and reflect (and pray) over what we have learned with God.
As many of your know I have been teaching on the power of the Holy Spirit to lead our lives. In that discussion I considered our understand of the priority God places on the "fruit of the Spirit" in the life of believers. The simple reason is that more than anything we need to learn how to walk in the Spirit, toward one another.
In recent months we have begun service with the sounding of the "shofar". This is a traditional Jewish instrument fashioned from the horn of a ram. The "shofar" was used in battle much the same way a modern bugle is used, to send messages to the troops and assemble them for various battlefield formations. When sounded, the men were called to action in battle.

Scripture says that in the last days men will no longer tolerate sound doctrine. In other words, believing their own interpretations of truth that they will actually run from and ignore what is true. They will not like being challenged by others and will desire to be around people who believe what they believe.
